Autumn Week 13

Sport_0004
We have come to the end of another very successful sporting term here at St Neot’s but there have still been some hugely impressive achievements in the last couple of weeks.
Our sports captain, Charlie J, has been awarded a sports scholarship to St Edward’s School for next year. This is a fantastic accomplishment and we would like to say a huge congratulations to Charlie.

We have had our termly sports assembly, where we were delighted to be able to hand out colours to some of our deserving senior pupils. Harry P, Ted N, Finn N, Ted S and Charlie J all achieved their football colours whilst Pippa L, Zoe C, and Mia F all achieved their hockey colours in addition to Olivia G and Kitty W who were awarded them last year.

Pre Prep entertain with their Christmas performances

LS-Nativity_0013
Pre Prep children have been entertaining their families this week with their Christmas performances. Year 1 and Year 2 children put on 2 stellar performances of the “Inn-Spectors”! The children sang and danced their way through an adaption of the Christmas Nativity that led to the stable being “fit for a King!” It was also lovely to see the Reception and Tuskers children performing together in their first Early Years Nativity. They really excelled themselves with all their wonderful acting, singing and waving to the audience!

House Cross Country

XCountry_0011
Pupils from Years 3 - 8 competed yesterday in the annual house cross-country event.A chance to score points for their house led to some competitive running and very close sprint finishes, with every pupil contributing to the overall results. The team spirit was evident with pupils cheering their teammates on and applauding their efforts. Staff played their part too, marshalling, timing, recording results and even running the course with the pupils!

Year 3 Tudor Residential

Facebook_0001
Our Lords and Ladies (aka Year 3!) have just returned from a splendid visit to Ufton Court Manor, where they stepped back in time to 1599. The young courtiers were treated to a fabulous Tudor banquet, with dancing and much feasting on locally grown produce and the newly discovered potato! And just by chance, they were also invited to join the crew of Sir Francis Drake, circumnavigating the world from 1577-1580. How time flies when you’re having fun!A truly fabulous residential…inspiring and atmospheric, captivating the drama of the Tudor era. Such memories and knowledge that will undoubtedly stay with the children for years to come!
