Tireless Year 8s enjoy an action packed week!

The Year 8 Leavers’ programme is in full swing and the pupils have been having a fantastic time in the glorious sunshine!

So far they have collectively swum the English Channel. It took them two hours and they completed a total of 1500 lengths for their charities Cerebral Palsy Sport, Stepping Stones and Phyllis Tuckwell. Then on Saturday the children hosted a ‘Come Dine With Me’ for their parents. They cooked, prepared and served all of the food with help from Paul, our Head Chef, and not forgetting the Year 8 form tutors! This event raised over £1000 for their charities.

The indefatigable pupils then camped overnight in the school grounds and worked over two days to achieve their Gold Navigation Award. Three instructors assisted the children as they made their own maps, identified symbols on a map and finally planned out their own route around Bramshill. Year 8 learnt many important and valuable life skills despite the searing heat!
