Autumn Week 2 & 3

CC
It has been a busy and successful start to the term with many certificates awarded across the school.

Just in the last two weeks the following children have been awarded a Citizen of the Week certificate:
Jamie O and Olivia R who were both seen to be very helpful in the dining room; Scarlett, Felicity and Oscar T for being such kind and thoughtful friends; Amelia F for helping her peers in lessons; William E, Wilson, Ryan, Heidi and Clara-Rose were rewarded for a good deed at the end of last term when they helped to clear all the chairs after Speech Day; Safia and Lara were also recognised for being kind in horse riding and showing good leadership skills for the beginners.

Hard work has been noted all round the school and the children have come back very focussed and keen to improve in all areas. A Head’s Award for outstanding work was given to Tristan and Liam for their summer holiday work, Molly J for her English and Jacob S and Ollie W for their work in DT. Molly was even brave enough to read her exceptional piece of writing out in assembly.

We also celebrated much success in Speech and Drama with Amelia D, Lydia, Liam and Olivia R gaining a distinction at Grade one, Ava and Imogen T a merit at Grade one, Jaia passing Grade 2 with distinction, Maisie passing Grade 2 with merit, Heidi was awarded Entry 3 with merit and Max A, Nathan, India, Kitty, Lila and Clara Rose all gained a distinction at Entry 3. Mr McGrath will be looking forward to using their dramatic skills in the coming year!

Form of the Week was very competitive this week but the final vote went to 3W who, as I write, are enjoying a break time treat of shortbread and hot chocolate as a reward.

Barnaby received a medal and a trophy for being chosen as the coach’s player of the season for his cricket club outside of school.
